I feel the same, mine were diagnosed at age 41 and repaired 2 weeks later,  we are the lucky ones for sure!  and I will forever continue to live my life to the fullest!

So true.  I had mine done in July at 43.  Last Novembre they found the hole after I had a mini-stroke.  So lucky to not have more damage following the episode.  I too am feeling better...breathing better.  I do still get tired often but not as much.  Life is great and I intend to make the best of it. :)

I just had open heart surgery a month ago, I am 35, I am blessed I know it. I am still in that stage that I'm not suppose to do anything strenuous, I'm at home, still feeling stress and depressed sometimes.. perhaps not doing anything, thinking of work and how I just left for a month and people to cover my job and unmotivated. I'm struggling of the emotions, perhaps I'm just sensitive or its too soon to be at normal with the reminder every time I feel my surgery and a slight pain in my chest. I am grateful for family and friends support and I'm Catholic so I'm strongly grateful ...
